Nicolet outdoor adventure program popular with those seeking quality outdoor experiences
"More than ever people are looking for quality outdoor experiences," outdoor adventure coordinator Terry Rutlin said in a press release. "We're seeing quite a number of new students signing up for classes, people who have never taken an Outdoor Adventure class before. Another trend is more parents taking classes with their children. Sometimes the children are kids and other times the children are adults themselves. It's been very encouraging to see."
Classes last anywhere from a couple of hours to almost a full day.
Offerings coming up July through September include Beginning and Intermediate Paddleboarding, Primitive Fire Starting, Wild Mushroom Hunting, an interpretive nature paddle, Fly Fishing, Grouse Hunting, Wild Game Cooking, Outdoor Photography, Permaculture, Dog-Powered Silent Sports and Wild Cranberry Foraging.
For more information or to register for any class, visit nicoletcollege.edu/outdooradventure or call the college at (715) 365-4544.
