Joyce married Wallace "Wally" E. Towne on Aug. 30, 1952, in Rhinelander. Joyce and Wally farmed and managed the property for Frito Lay Farms. They grew potatoes for over 30 years in Sugar Camp. Joyce and Wally lived in the Rhinelander area all their lives. After Wally passed away, Susie moved Joyce to her home in Hustisford to care for her.
Joyce is survived by her children: Michael (Jeanie) Towne, Rick (Dawn) Towne, Dawn (Robert) Lavender, and Susan (Scott) Smits. Also surviving are 9 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends
Joyce is preceded in death by her husband Wallace and her three brothers.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, July 3, 2021 at 10 a.m. at Forest Home Cemetery in Rhinelander. A luncheon will follow at the home of Bob and Dawn Lavender's home, 3093 Fire Lane Rd., at 1 p.m.
The Berndt-Ledesma Funeral Home-Hustisford, is serving the family.
