Habitat for Humanity announces online auction fundraiser
The auction began Thursday, Jan. 21 and will take place every Thursday, Friday and Saturday for three weeks with 20 items auctioned each week. Bids each week will be closed at 8 p.m. on Saturday beginning with Jan. 23.
Items to be auctioned are donations received from the Northwoods business community. Auctions items range from gift certificates and baskets to new water heaters, brand new kitchen, new custom shed, truckloads of gravel, firewood and much more.
To participate in the auction, join the Facebook group "Bids for Builds." All items will be highlighted with photos and descriptions and how to bid.
Habitat for Humanity Northwoods Wisconsin serves Oneida and Vilas counties.
"Habitat has been building at least one home per year for the past 20 years," executive director Dave Havel said. "We are currently completing our 2020 home, which was built for a family in Phelps. Our goal is to use funds from this fundraiser for our next home."
