Scott was born in Rhinelander on July 29, 1961, to Robert and Mabel (Swenson) Gauthier. He was raised in Rhinelander and was a 1979 graduate of Rhinelander High School. Upon completing high school, Scott began his employment with Printpack working for the company for 30 years, retiring as a shipping and receiving supervisor.
Scott enjoyed shooting pool and playing darts and had been on a few leagues through the years. He loved animals and was a volunteer at the Humane Society. Scott also enjoyed hunting and fishing and listening to rock music. He was known as a very social person and enjoyed visiting with friends and making new ones.
Scott will be remembered for being very kindhearted.
He will be dearly missed by his life partner, Ann Angell of Rhinelander; children, Anna Gauthier and fiancée Clint Zwaard of Rhinelander and Kelly Gauthier (Israel Fernandez) of Wausau; four brothers: Tom (Debbie) Henderson, Mark (Melodie) Gauthier, Brian Gauthier (Kim Bessett) and Keith Gauthier (Jill Galarowicz), all of Rhinelander.
Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and by one sister, Linda Gauthier.
A Celebration of Life will take place in the late spring or summer of 2021.
