Pat was raised in Rhinelander and attended schools here. He graduated from Rhinelander High School in 1969.
Aftter his schooling he was employed by Triumph Twist Drill for quite a few years. After the closing of Twist Drill he went to work for the Rhinelander Paper Company. He retired from the mill just a couple of years ago.
Pat was a lifelong member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church. He was also a longtime instructor with the Hunter Safety Program. He enjoyed helping kids both through the Lutheran Pioneers at Zion and the Hunter Safety program. He enjoyed all sports and loved to fish and hunt. Pat was always someone you looked forward to seeing. He had a great sense of humor and sincerely cared about both his family and friends and what was going on in their lives.
Pat is survived by his children Kim Johnson, Kevin (Amber) Blumreich and Bryan (Cassie) Geertgens, his granddaughter Kinsley, his siblings Linda Schmidt, Terry Sackett, Cheri Guenther Sandy (Ken) Zahn; nieces, nephews, other family and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Deb Johnson and his brother Frank Lawetzski.
