Kathryn Anne Grill, "Kate" passed away suddenly at St. Mary's Hospital in Rhinelander on Feb. 4, 2021. She went to be with her heavenly Father at the age of 63. She was born in Rhinelander on Jan. 28, 1958.

She is preceded in death by her father Wayne Jolin and is survived by Bill, her loving husband of 44 years. Kate is lovingly remembered by her mother Annette Cleveland and stepmother Carolyn Jolin; her children, Sara (Robert) Cirilli, Monica (Nicholas) Janssen, and Jesse (Ashley) Grill; her siblings, Dave (Suzanne) Jolin, Jeffery (Stacy) Jolin, Chris Vollmar; her step-siblings, Patrick Cleveland, Pamela Cleveland, Laura Wixon, Heidi Sommer, Jay Sommer, and Wendy Schuler; her grandchildren, Wyatt and Lola Cirilli, Jace and Jarren Janssen, and Briar and Willow (expected) Grill; and by her many nieces and nephews.

Kate was a lifelong resident of Rhinelander where she graduated high school and raised her beautiful family with her husband Bill. She worked as a beautician and later changed careers to become a CNA. Here she was able to express her passion in caring for others, especially the elderly. She took special care of her mother-in-law Marjorie Grill for many years.

She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and was a favorite to her grandchildren. She would joke with them often and always encouraged them to embrace their individuality. She was known for expressing her feelings of love towards those around her, and this extended to animals as well. Her dogs, Merle and Ruby, and cat, Monte Carlo, were her babies. She often talked about her excitement to one day be reunited with her former pets in Heaven.

Kate had a beautiful spirit and goofy sense of humor that could brighten anyone's day. She was a life coach to many and had a gift of helping others navigate through difficult times. In her free time, she enjoyed being creative through her many artistic talents and love of photography. She enjoyed the outdoors, camping, fishing, cooking, four-wheeler rides with her dogs, and picking wildflowers to dry and display in her home. She had the greenest thumb of anyone around and was called "Mother Nature" by her husband Bill.

Kate had a strong faith and was a member of Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Harrison. She found great support in attending AA meetings where she developed many long-lasting friendships. She always sought to make today better than yesterday and lived by her favorite quote: "Don't look back, you're not going that way."

A Celebration of life is planned for Saturday, May 29, 2021 at 5 p.m. at The Rosewood Barn, N10830 Hwy 17 S. Gleason, WI 54435. You may leave your private condolences for the Grill family at www.carlsonfh.com.
