Grow North's Beyer elected to Wisconsin Economic Development Association Board of Directors
"I am honored to join WEDA's Board of Directors and thrilled at the opportunity to provide a voice, within a statewide organization, advocating for the needs of rural communities and businesses that I represent every day," said Beyer. "I look forward to working with the rest of the WEDA Board and staff to promote economic growth in the Grow North region and throughout Wisconsin."
Beyer, who has led Grow North for the past three years, also has over a decade of experience working in the creative arts economy. She serves on Governor Tony Evers' Blue Ribbon Commission on Rural Prosperity and currently chairs the state of Wisconsin's Taskforce on Broadband Access. She holds a bachelor's degree in fine arts from New York University, as well as a graduate degree in art and public policy.
"WEDA is excited to welcome Brittany to the Board of Directors. We look forward to her leadership and the value she will provide drawing on her strong background in economic development and public policy," said WEDA President and CEO Mary Perry. "She is highly thought of throughout the Wisconsin economic development community, and I'm confident her work as a member of the WEDA Board will enhance our efforts to advance the Wisconsin economy."
