She was born on Feb. 28, 1946 to Joseph W. and Helen M. (Howe) Rappley.
Becky was raised in Newbold and attended Rhinelander High School. She was co-owner and worked as the head cook at Heck's Rivers Edge Supper Club in Newbold. After leaving the supper club, she went onto other self-employment with a home cleaning business and caring for several children over the years.
She met Edward "Eddie" Siefert and after a few years of courtship the couple were married on Leap Day, Feb. 29, 1992.
Becky loved drawing, crocheting, knitting, sewing and all things homemaking. She took great pride in keeping their home tidied up, spotless and having home-cooked meals on the table. To put it mildly, she was a great cook.
She also enjoyed country music and dancing, taking road trips, walking the beaches of the Great Lakes, picking pebbles, taking in sunsets and just being in nature. Other road trips included the Wisconsin Dells and Minneapolis. She was especially fond of picnicking with Eddie at a special location on Lake Nokomis, where her parents took her picnicking as a child.
She loved her outdoor animals and looked forward to the visiting critters: deer, squirrels, chipmunks, birds. They all had names. There was "Chip-a-roo" and "Chick-a-ree" the chipmunks and "Rocky" the racoon. Oh, and "Winnefred" the albino deer. She would make sure to add "birdseed and suet" to her list of items for Eddie to bring home, so as not to miss feeding the birds.
Becky is survived by her husband Edward "Eddie" Siefert, her sister-in-law Judy Wentz, brother-in-law John Siefert, her brother Lawrence W. Rappley, sisters Sharon "Sharri" Schwartz, and Sali (Daniel) Winn, stepchildren John and Joanie Heck and many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents Joseph and Helen Rappley, her grandparents; brothers James, Harry and Patrick Rappley; brothers-in-law Terry Jako and Skip Schwartz, sisters-in-law Irene, Louise and Margie Rappley and stepdaughter Janie Heck.
Becky was a gentle, beautiful soul and will be greatly missed by all.
