The fifth annual Sammy Ramker Jr. Memorial Toy Drive Pool Tournament was held Dec. 4 at Sammy Jrs. Each year, each player is asked to bring an unwrapped gift. This year, there were enough toys to fill two large truckloads which were delivered to the Masonic Lodge to help with their Kindness for Kids Toy Drive. In addition, the event raised $7,000, which was split between the Oneida County Veterans Service Office, Social Services, Tri-County Council on Domestic Abuse, Frederick House, and to help get the tiny homes for homeless veterans started. The organizers are thankful to the donors, players and community for their wonderful and generous support. Without them, we would not be as successful as we have been. The love and help from everyone involved truly shows how amazing our community is. Special thanks was also offered to the following: Cindy Carroll, O'Reilly's Auto Zone, Tricia's Treasures, Catalyst, Golden Harvest, Mark Siech, Mary Hollands, Katie Kremer, Kari Kreitlow, MD Small Engines, Twin Pines, Mel's, Jeff & Jen Hagen, Bruce Gruening, Al-Gen, Ponsse, Jim Lillis, Sunset Tanning Spa, Northern Lakes Amusement, Bosaki's Chocolates & More, Rollie & Helen's Musky Shop, Metro Screen Printing, Hanson's Garden Village, Serenity Health & Wellness, Brian McLaughlin, Brian Bart Construction, Randy & Michelle Boehlert, Northland Insurance, Mike Winter Construction, Pauly Laskawa, Steven Quade, Press Express, River Street Tap, Augie's Collectibles, USW Local 2-15, Sue Christianson, Jewell Family.
