Sandra Louise Jahnke, age 76 of Superior, passed away peacefully, on Saturday, November 27, 2021, holding hands with her loving husband and daughter.

Sandy was raised in Rhinelander. She attended school at St. Mary's Catholic School and was a member of the Belles of St. Mary's Drum and Bugle Corps.

Sandy graduated from Rhinelander Union High School in 1963. Sandy enjoyed making crafts and knitting. Later in life, reading was her main hobby. Sandy was a life-long member of the Beta Sigma Phi sorority. Sandy also loved fishing, traveling and the outdoors. Sandy's laugh was contagious, and her kindness was shared with lifetime friends through school, work, and her MS support members.

Sandy is survived by her husband of 53 years, Stephen "Skip" Jahnke, her mother Betty Newman of Rhinelander, daughter, Brenda DeMarco (Richard) and grandchildren, Alexander and Anthony of Saint Louis Park, Minn. She is also survived by brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and cousins.  

Sandy was preceded in death by her father, Russell Newman.

A Celebration of Life for Sandy will take place in the summer of 2022.
