Joshua McCaskill of Merrill sets his watch as he enters the water to begin the ninth-annual WILD HodagāMini Triathlon at Holiday Acres Resort Saturday, Aug. 28. According to online results, 59 individuals and four relay teams took part in the event that included a 300-yard swim (or half-mile kayak), a 10-kilometer bike ride and a 5-kilometer run. Proceeds from the event supported Wise International Leadership Development (WILD), a group that fosters youth leadership skills, both locally and internationally.
