State Treasurer Sarah Godlewski spent about an hour Friday, April 23 listening to the concerns of 16 people at Pioneer Park. Godlewski kicked of her campaign Monday in Milwaukee to be the Democratic candidate to run for the U.S. Senate in the November 2022 election for the seat currently held by Republican Ron Johnson. Her Friday stop in Rhinelander was only her fifth stop on the campaign trail. Johnson has yet to announce whether he intends to run for a third, six-year term. Godlewski is one of four declared Democratic candidates for the seat, including radiologist Gillian Battino, Alex Lasry, senior vice president of the Milwaukee Bucks and Outagamie County Executive Tom Nelson.
