Willie was born on Oct. 17, 1942, in Oshkosh, to Clarence and Evelyn (nee Pamenter) Dehn.
Willie's greatest accomplishment, as well as the one he was most honored and proud of, was serving his country for 32 years in the United States Army; where he earned the rank of Command Sergeant Major.
During his retirement, Willie enjoyed volunteering with the Newbold Fire Department until he was unable because of his Parkinson's disease. He enjoyed spending time with his family, traveling with his wife and telling jokes while enjoying a beer sitting in his yard socializing with neighbors and friends.
He will be remembered for his laugh, quick wit, patience, bluntness, compassion and willingness to always help family, friends, neighbors and even strangers.
Willie is survived by his wife of 54 years, Rita (nee Tordeur); daughter, Traci England (Brad Bottorff); three grandchildren, Kristina England (Neil Broske), Kaitlin (Jon) Edwardson and William England and three great- grandchildren who were the light of his life, Aubree, Madelynn and Logann.
He was preceded in death by his mother, father and brother.
In lieu of flowers, Willie would want you to make a donation to the Parkinson's Foundation or Newbold Volunteer Fire Department in his honor. Per his wishes, there will be a private family service and a celebration of life at a later date when everyone can be together to laugh, tell jokes and, of course, toast him with a beer.
