The Rhinelander Police Department gained a new probationary officer Monday as Nathaniel Antilla was sworn in by city clerk Val Foley during a brief ceremony in the City Council Chambers at City Hall. Antilla is from Menominee, Mich., and attended law enforcement training at Northeast Wisconsin Technical College. He will spend a year as a probationary officer under the guidance of a training officer. With Antilla now on board, the department has one officer vacancy. The captain's position is also vacant at present. Antilla, right, is pictured accepting his badge from Rhinelander Police Chief Lloyd Gauthier. Photo by Jamie Taylor/River News.
