Dorothy was born in Sheboygan Falls on Wednesday, July 9, 1930, to Alexander and Nelda (Steinhardt) Stentz. She attended Schwartzville Grade School and was a graduate of Howards Grove High School. She met Wallace F. Kudick and the couple were married in Howards Grove on Sept. 16, 1950. They owned and operated a hobby farm in Newton, Wis. In 1979 the family moved to Post Lake where they owned and operated the Top-Notch Pallet Company. Dorothy was a waitress at the Bass Lake Country Club and at Stocks Dinner Club. She later was employed at the Antigo K-Mart. The couple moved to Rhinelander in 2000.
Dorothy enjoyed fishing, crocheting, pontoon boat rides, living on Post Lake, gardening, traveling and watching "Dancing with the Stars" and "Survivor" on television. But most of all, Dorothy loved her family and enjoyed spending time with her family.
She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church.
Dorothy will be dearly missed by her children, Chris (Tony) Mayer of Manitowoc, Yvonne Stock of Manitowoc, Kim (Randy) Udelhoven, of Neenah, Ken (Linda) Kudick of Rhinelander and Karleen (Jim) McConnell of Rhinelander. Also surviving are 13 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren and a sister, Marilyn (Jim) Voigt of Rocklin, Calif. Dorothy is further survived by nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Wallace Kudick Sr. on May 26, 2003, daughter Robin Haas, son Wallace Kudick Jr., and three grandchildren, Allisia Pond, Benjie Renee Pond and Lisa Kudick.
The visitation for Dorothy will take place on Monday, Sept. 7, 2020 at the Hildebrand Funeral Home from 10 a.m. until the noon funeral service. Rev. Karl Schultz will be officiating.
Those attending the visitation, funeral service, or committal service at the cemetery will be required to wear a mask not only for the safety of the family but the safety of the public. Social distancing will be required.
Interment will take place at the Riverview Cemetery in Kewaunee at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 8, 2020.
