Rhinelander Police Chief Lloyd Gauthier, left, poses with new RPD officer Marc Nylund Friday after the city's police and fire commission confirmed that Nylund, a Rhinelander native, successfully completed his probation and was now a full officer with the department. Nylund, pictured with his wife Kelsey and their 3-month-old son Lincoln, graduated at the top of his class at the Northeast Wisconsin Technical College Police Academy in Green Bay.
