Born January 5, 1975 in Columbus, Georgia, the daughter of Richard and Mary Meier. Died on Sept. 29, 2020 peacefully at home with her family following an extended illness.

Sarah graduated from Rhinelander High School, held a bachelor's degree from Alverno College and a clinical doctorate in physical therapy from Washington University.

Sarah's Catholic faith was a guiding light for her. Sarah had a deep love for nature's beauty and God's creatures. She loved to hike in the mountains, snowshoe, and on her return to Wisconsin, took up cross-country skiing.

Sarah is survived by her parents, her sister Jennifer (Randy) Schroeder, her brother Scott (Tina) Meier, her nephews Zack Sousek, Seth Sousek, and Daniel Meier and her nieces Makenzie and Mikayla Schroeder, and her faithful canine companion Tess. She is also survived by many other loving and supportive aunts, uncles, and cousins and friends from many states.

Sarah was preceded in death by her grandparents, Clarence and Ann Meier, and Ken and Margaret Podvin, her twin sister, Monica, and her cousins Michael Podvin, Patrick Podvin, and Cecil Parvin.

A special thank you from our hearts to Dr. Christopher Koeppl, Ascension at Home Hospice Service, and Nativity of Our Lord prayer group and staff for their kindness and loving care through Sarah's illness.

Visitation will be held at Hildebrand Funeral Home on Friday evening, Oct. 2 from 4 to 7 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, Oct. 3 at 10:30 a.m. at Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Church, 125 E. King Street, Rhinelander, WI with Fr. Chris Kemp officiating.

Immediately following the Mass of Christian Burial there will be a procession to Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Cemetery.

On Friday evening, please use the Davenport Street entrance at the funeral home. The sanitizing of hands and the wearing of masks will be required at the funeral home and at church.

Memorials in Sarah's memory may be directed to Nativity Catholic School, Rhinelander, WI, and Northwood Alliance for Temporary Housing (NATH) in Rhinelander, WI.
