Rob was born at Fort Benning, Georgia on April 25, 1962 to Eugene O. and Donna M. (Durkee) Robinson Sr.
Shortly after birth, the family returned to Rhinelander where he was raised. In 1980 he graduated from Rhinelander High School. Rob was united in marriage on May 21, 1983, in Rhinelander, to Lisa M. Garrow. The couple have lived in Harshaw since 1987.
Pops has been employed at Sowinski Seed Farm since 2008. He was previously employed with Asplundh Tree Service, Journey into the Wild, Bearskin Wildlife Preserve and Rollie and Helens Musky Shop.
Rob was a lifelong member of M.B.I.
His favorite time of the year was the deer gun season. He also enjoyed fishing for anything that was biting and working on the Sowinski Farm, attending and playing in the Sugar Camp Softball Tournament and playing and then later watching the Snowshoe Baseball Tournament in Lake Tomahawk.
But most of all, his family was the most important part of his life. First his sons and later his grandchildren. He will be remembered for being a great dad and grandpa.
He will be dearly missed by his wife, Lisa; mother, Donna Robinson of Rhinelander; two sons: Randy Robinson of Rhinelander and Marshall Robinson of Wisconsin, two grandchildren, Breleigh and Taylor Robinson; sister, Bridget Robinson of Rhinelander, brother Andy Robinson of Minot, North Dakota, mother-in-law Mary Lou Worden of Rhinelander and a very special four-legged companion, Lucy, Rob's napping buddy. Also surviving are nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Eugene O. Robinson Sr.
A public visitation for Rob will be held on Friday, Nov. 27, 2020 at the funeral home from 4 to 7 p.m. The funeral service will be private.
For the safety of the family and the Rhinelander community, when arriving at the funeral home, please use the Davenport Street entrance.
