Ripco Credit Union issues COVID-19 relief grants to non-profit organizations
The grants were issued to these two area non-profit organizations through the FHLBC COVID-19 Relief Grant program, according to a Ripco press release.
The program serves to provide relief to small businesses and non-profit organizations that have been significantly impacted by COVID-19, the release states.
"We applaud the FHLBC's mission to support our small business and non-profit community members who have been deeply affected by the COVID-19 health crisis," said Ripco Credit Union President/CEO Liza Edinger. "Since Ripco was chartered back in 1932, we have remained dedicated to our members and to our communities. We are proud to partner with the Federal Home Loan Bank of Chicago in support of those who are the most vulnerable during these challenging times."
As a member of the FHLBC, Ripco Credit Union was eligible to receive funding to support non-profit organizations that were negatively impacted by COVID-19. "These organizations do a tremendous amount of good in our communities, and are also those least likely to have access to other sources of emergency funds during this time," Edinger added. "Please join us in congratulating Headwaters Inc. and FORK. We know that these grants will go a long way in helping these fine organizations help many individuals in our communities."
