Carol was born in 1934, in Rhinelander, to parents, Harris and Vera (Tibutis) Wubker. After high school, she worked as a telephone operator and for an insurance company before meeting her husband, Herbert Duvall. They were married in 1954 and ran a successful electric motor repair shop in Rhinelander. Soon they moved to Milwaukee and began several businesses, the most notable being their stand at 7 Mile Fair where they sold until Herb's death in 1988. In 1989, Carol remarried to Chester Ciecko, and worked in their wholesale business in Kansasville. It wasn't long before they were back at 7 Mile Fair every Sunday until about 2015. After developing Alzheimer's disease, she moved into a memory care facility in Reedsburg, then moved to Montello Care Center where she spent the last year. Music was a huge part of Carol's life. She loved to sing and dance to the old country favorites and of course a polka now and then. If you were lucky enough to spend any time around her when they were playing a schottische, you were quickly taught how to do it. Her love for music stayed with her until the end, giving her comfort, and bringing a smile to her face.
Carol is survived by children, Debbie (Jim) Westphal, Cindy (Greg) Odden, Herbie (Cindy) Duvall, Lisa (Rod) Wojnarowski; grandchildren, Veronica Odden, Gwen (Justin) Odden-Breault, Mary Westphal, Abby Odden, Ben Odden, Cody Wojnarowski and Jace Wojnarowski; her brothers, Wally (Donna) Wubker, Jimmy (Becky) Wubker and sister Barb Wubker. Carol is also survived by her stepchildren, Michael (Mary) Ciecko, Sheri (Sergio) Sandoval, Tricia Rutenberg and Terri Ciecko, as well as several nieces and nephews. Loved ones who preceded her in death were parents, Harris and Vera Wubker; husband, Herbert Duvall, Sr., son, Peter Michael Duvall, and second husband, Chester Ciecko.
