Jicinsky said having a separate deli case will allow employees to serve customers who just want meat or cheese without impacting meal production for those eating in.
"People would say we were really a restaurant," she said. "If you came and ordered (deli items) during the lunch rush, you got 'the look.'"
The expanded area will also feature an expanded retail area, a private "community room" that can be rented for activities, expanded cooler space, and brings the smoker into the building from outside. She also noted that there is now much more room for people to practice social distancing while orders are being prepared.
She said the original plan was to hold a soft opening on April 15 with a grand opening May 15, but the Safer at Home order pushed those plans back. The soft open will now take place Wednesday, with the grand opening to be held at a later date.
