Joann Lucille McCurdie
She was a longtime resident of the Northwoods. She was a 1961 graduate of Marian College.
On May 29, 1965, she married William J. McCurdie. Together they celebrated 35 years of marriage before his passing in 2001.
Joann worked as a medical laboratory technician until retirement. Joann enjoyed gardening, travel, reading, puzzles and spending time with family. She also enjoyed volunteering her time for community service.
She is survived by her children and grandchildren, Mark (Terri) McCurdie, and their children, Ian and Breanna McCurdie; Colleen Mueller and her son Brad Mueller (fiancé Emily); sister Kathy Omernick; sister-in-law Irene (Ken) Synder; brother-in-law Robert Smolarek, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Joann was preceded in death by husband William; sister Marilyn.
Cremation will take place and Memorial Mass will be held at a later date.
