The Rhinelander Trig's has announced a $2,500 donation to the Rhinelander Fire Department. The donation from Trig's, along with other local donors and businesses, was used to purchase an inflatable fire safety house. The fire department will use this portable tool to teach fire safety to children in the community. It can be setup in parking lots, schools, daycare centers and will help educate more than 900 local early childhood and elementary-age children every year. During Fire Prevention Week and at other times throughout the year, the fire department brings awareness and lifesaving resources to the public and children. The inflatable fire safety house teaches children fire safety tasks and includes exit drills and other home safety tactics. A check presentation took place Feb. 28 at Trig's. Rhinelander Fire Department Fire Chief Terry Williams, a few of his crew, and Trig's associates gathered for a group photo.
