She was born on July 23, 1939, in Crandon, the daughter of Wallace and Edna (Harlan) Yocum.
Barb was raised in Crandon and attended schools there, graduating from Crandon High School in 1957. On May 3, 1958 in Crandon, she married the love of her life, Jack Antonuk. God blessed them with 62 years of marriage. After their marriage they moved to Rhinelander where they raised their family. Early in her married life Barb was employed as the secretary for Mr. James Cleary at Cleary's Dairy. After the kids got older she went back to work as a secretary for the Grace Foursquare Church.
The most important things in Barb's life were her God, her family and her friends. She was an active member of the Grace Foursquare Church from the time she moved to Rhinelander. She loved her church and her church family. She also worked with her husband Jack in spreading God's word through the Gideon mission as a member of their auxiliary. When it came to her family she was a great mom and grandma to her kids and grandkids and a Christian wife to her husband Jack. To her friends she was everything a friend should be and always greeted them with a smile none of them will forget.
In Barb's spare time she enjoyed cooking and gardening. Barb could also talk up a storm and that came from the success she had in high school in public speaking classes and in the state forensic speaking competitions, which she won.
Barb is survived by her husband Jack Antonuk, her children Jennifer (Mark) Davidson and Jeffrey (Michele) Antonuk, her grandchildren Jack and Charles, her sister Terry (Al) Thompson, nieces, nephews, other family and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her daughter Julie, her grandchild Nina and her brother Roland Yocum.
Services for Barb were held at the Grace Foursquare Church at 1 p.m. Friday, June 19, 2020.
All present social distancing rules were applied for both the visitation and services. She will be laid to rest in the Newbold Memorial Cemetery.
