On June 19, 1976, Anne was married to Philip Hoyer. The Lord blessed the couple with three children, Andrew, John and Elizabeth.
In 1979 Phil and Anne began 40 years of ministry in sharing the Gospel of salvation with the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod. Those years took them to Brainerd, Minn.; Calgary, Alberta, Canada; Litchfield, Minn. and finally Jacksonville where they have resided for the past 22 years. Anne's kindness and love influenced many people to see, feel and understand the unconditional love of Jesus Christ.
Anne had many hobbies. She loved all people and always looked for ways to encourage and help them. She was a great cook, scrapbooker, photographer, party planner, liked to sail, enjoyed sewing taught to her by her grandmother, Betty; Packers fan and fan of her children in whatever endeavors they undertook.
During the past 20 years Anne worked for Anheuser-Busch as a specialist in human resources both at the brewery and the can plant in Jacksonville. She loved her work and the wonderful people she had the privilege to get to know and work with. She was healthy and vibrant all her life. Her career came to a quick end when she was diagnosed with glioma brain cancer on Oct. 7, 2018.
On June 15, of this year the Lord graciously kept his promise and peacefully took Anne from the hands of her father and husband home to heaven.
Anne will be deeply missed by her family, friends and coworkers. She is survived by her devoted husband of 44 years, Pastor Phil Hoyer (retired); her children Andrew and Jen Hoyer of Hugo, Minn.; John Hoyer of Orono, Minn.; Elizabeth and Nick Konietzko of Jacksonville, and her two grandchildren, Ava and Andrew Konietzko. Anne is survived by her 90-year-old parents - Jim and Dolly Carlson of Sarasota, Fla.; two sisters - Kathy and Pastor Paul Zell of Hendersonville, N.C. and Mary and Dr. Tom Zellmer of Gainesville, Fla.
She is also survived by her loving nieces and nephews. Her internment will take place at the home of her son, Andrew, in Hugo, Minn. May the Savior comfort us all with the knowledge of the glorious reunion in heaven that he has planned for all Believers.
