Trails at CAVOC receive International Ski Federation certification
The Northwoods Nordic Ski Club and the School District of Rhinelander work collaboratively on developing and maintaining the trails at CAVOC. This has been in the works for a few years with all of the trail improvements and inspections. It is a significant accomplishment in the Nordic ski world.
Ski Club representative Bob Cook stated, "This is about the cooperation between the District and the community-based Ski Club, which has improved the trails for multiple activities. This certification is special in that there are only 32 trail systems certified in the USA, with only two in Wisconsin. It also provides the potential for a future National-level Nordic Ski event."
