Tom was born Aug. 23, 1964, in Laona, to Lyle and Betty (Campbell) Sheldon.
He attended Crandon schools and Nicolet College in Rhinelander.
Tom was united in marriage to Ella Basel on Feb. 14, 1993 in Long Lake.
Surviving Tom is his wife of 27 years, Ella Sheldon, Rhinelander; Tom also has two daughters, Ashley (Mark Schuh) Sheldon, Rhinelander; Michelle Waldrop, Menasha; two sons, Austin (Leah Schindeldecker) Sheldon, Rhinelander; Anthony Waldrop, Jr., Appleton; seven grandchildren; brother, Tim (Marlene) Sheldon, Argonne.
Along with his family he is also survived by a brother-in-law, Dave Gilgan, Fond du Lac; six sisters-in-law, Mary Sann, Wausau; Jane Penkalski, Stoddard; Joyce Verbist, Tomahawk; Theresa Majerus, Ripon; and Delores Miller, Schofield. Tom also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and other relatives and friends.
Tom is preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Irene Lafferty; Lucinda Gilgan; brother, Terry Sheldon and mother-in-law, Whilhelmina Renn Roberts.
Tom will be remembered by many for his singing, doing karaoke, coin collecting, hunting, fishing and metal detecting. Tom loved above all else his wife, Ella, spending time with family, friends and most of all his little dog, Peanut.
Funeral services will be held at Weber-Hill Funeral Home, Crandon, on June 1, 2020 at 1:30 p.m. Burial to follow at Nashville Town Cemetery.
