Michael Falk shot a 6-under par round of 66 to set the course record. Playing from Pinewood's blue tees, which measure out at 6,179 yards, Falk shot a 31 on the front nine and rebounded from a double bogey on the par-3 12th hole to shoot 35 on the back nine.
"It was great for Michael and Pinewood to have the course record broken," the club stated in a press release.
Falk came out firing, with birdies on holes 1, 3 and 5, offset by a bogey at the second. Birdies on 8 and 9 got Falk to minus-4 at the turn. He followed that with another birdie on the par-5 10th, before stumbling on the long, uphill par-3 12th.
Falk recovered with an eagle on the driveable par-4 14th, added a birdie on 15 and parred out for his round of 66, which beat the previous course record, set in 2014, by two strokes.
