Marie was raised in Rhinelander and Sugar Camp.
On Aug. 22, 1953, Marie was united in marriage to Wesley H. "Bob" Yike at St. Kunegunda of Poland Catholic Church in Sugar Camp.
She was employed at St. Joe's Thrift Shop as a volunteer and at Frito Lay Research Farm.
Marie enjoyed knitting, crocheting and spending her summers at Sugar Camp Lake. But most of all, Marie enjoyed playing with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was a member of Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Church.
She will be dearly missed by her children: Sandra (Dennis) Strong of Sugar Camp, Constance Shevy of Rib Mountain; four grandchildren: Amy (Rob) Zwettler of Sugar Camp, Daniel (Kari) Strong of Beloit, Kelly Shevy of Appleton, and Clint Shevy of Wausau; four great-grandchildren: Zackary Strong, Jared Zwettler, Allison Zwettler and Derek Strong.
Also surviving are one brother, Charles (Kathy) Pollack of Crystal Falls, Mich., two sisters, Nancy Keso of Sugar Camp and Patricia (Jim) Schober of Sugar Camp, and a sister-in-law, Patricia Pollack of Manitowoc. Marie is further survived by nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Wesley H. "Bob" Yike; three brothers, William Pollack, Ronald Pollack and Ted (Rita) Pollack and by one sister, Suzanne (Eugene) Jenkins.
The visitation for Marie will be held on Friday, Jan. 31, 2020 at the Hildebrand Funeral Home from 10:30 a.m. until the 11:30 a.m. funeral service. Fr. Maridas VallaBhaneni will officiate.
Inurnment will take place at a later date at St. Kunegunda of Poland Catholic Cemetery, Sugar Camp.
