She married James Hoha on July 11, 1964 in Rhinelander.
After high school Barb attended beauty school in Green Bay.
Upon completion of that program, she returned to Rhinelander and was employed at a beauty shop in Eagle River for a couple of years prior to starting a family. As the kids grew, she went back to work holding several jobs at local fabric stores. She was a creative crafter and seamstress.
Barb then pursued a longtime dream of hers of owning and operating her own business. She started in her home at first and then moved to a location downtown where she operated Country Crossing gift shop. She loved creating, crafting and sewing handmade gifts. The store allowed her to do that full time and it was her pride and joy.
After many years of operating the store Barb retired and enjoyed her many other interests. They included traveling all over with Jim on their Harleys. She especially enjoyed the trips to the South Dakota region, and yes, even Sturgis.
At home she loved to garden and took great pride in her flowers. Barbara's greatest joy came from her family and friends.
Barbara is survived by her husband James, her daughter Heather (Joseph) Miller of Duluth, Minn., her son Trevor Hoha of Woodbury, Minn., her grandchildren Gabriel, Ava, Sophia and Mariella, her brother Norman (Judy) Ludtke, nieces, nephews, other family and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral services for Barbara will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 28, 2020 at 11 a.m., with visitation from 9 to 11 a.m., all at the Carlson Funeral Home. Reverend Mark Klaisner will officiate.
