Rhinelander Swim Club wins CWSC championship
"The 10 and unders got us off to a great start Saturday leaving us behind by only about 40 points. The 11 and older swimmers swam hard to help RSC win the meet by a mere 19.5 points.
"Every athlete and every point mattered for this win. Our youngest swimmer, Derek Jorata (5), swam his best 25 free to help his relay team of Max Miljevich, Kaleb Lehmann, and Collin Jorata take third place. As a first-year swimmer, Evolet Larson pushed through her 100 free to score 4 points towards are team score. Toby Scott was challenged, having to swim all longer events, and came out scoring major points for our team. Caleb Luce and Chris Larson both had wonderful swims, fighting to improve their times and beat the swimmer in the next lane.
"There were so many great swims and so much team camaraderie. Alicia Lentine, Zeva Barrett, and Drayke Arrowood were just a few of the swimmers that stood poolside for the duration of the meet, cheering on their teammates.
"This team camaraderie was so important as it helped keep all athletes' morale up throughout the long day! Myself and the other coaches are so proud of this group of swimmers as they have worked so hard for this and they absolutely deserve this win."
