Gaelic harpist to perform Valentine's Day concert
Pockat, a storyteller, harpist, and musical historian, will perform on the main floor of the library from 2 to 4 p.m. Friday, Feb. 14, library officials announced in a press release.
"Documentation shows that live harp music reduces side effects of anxiety, pain and oncology treatment at an amazing rate," according to the press release. "It also promotes an overall positive attitude and a sense of well-being. Please come and enjoy the music."
This concert is made possible through funding from the Northern Arts Council. Additional programming funding is provided by the Northwoods United Way. Refreshments will be provided by the RDL Friends of the Library.
