Delores was devoted to her family. She wed Larry Shepard in 1949 and God blessed them with 64 years of marriage and they raised their children in their home on Country Drive. Delores enjoyed being active in her children's activities which included Cub Scouts and Campfire Girls. She worked the lunch counter at Woolworths, cooked at Newbold School, and then worked at K-Mart in her retirement years.
She enjoyed camping, snowmobiling, bowling, crafting and trips to the casino. She was also an avid Packers and Brewers fan. Delores and Larry enjoyed many winters in Gulf Shores, Ala. after moving to Edgewater Homes. She was a longtime member of Nativity of Our Lord Parish.
Delores is survived by her four children: Joan (Tom) Haebig, Sharon (John Staley), Tom (Brenda), and Rob (Patti); 12 grandchildren, 9 great- grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Larry.
Visitation for Delores will be held from 10 a.m. until noon, with memorial services following at noon, on Thursday, Feb. 6, 2020, at Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Church in Rhinelander. Father Maria Vallabhaneni will officiate. Interment will be in the Forest Home Cemetery this spring. You may leave your private condolences for the Shepard family at www.carlsonfh.com.
