He was born Sept. 1, 1943 in Fond du Lac, son of the late Aloysius Peter and Dorothy Lucy (Mannenbach) Krebsbach. After graduating from St. Mary Springs Academy, he attended Spencerian Business College.
John then began his working career with the State of Wisconsin Highway Department, where he worked as a maintenance engineer until his retirement in 1999.
John was a member of Whitetails Unlimited and Ducks Unlimited. He enjoyed shooting pool, playing cards and poker, bowling, fishing, and listening to jazz music.
John leaves behind his son, Joe (Kathy) Krebsbach of Sturgeon Bay; daughter, Chris Krebsbach of Burbank, Calif.; grandchildren, Dan (Beth) Krebsbach, Amanda (Nick) Winkel, and Ryan (Kelsie) Krebsbach; great-grandchildren, Joseph, Anna, Paul, and Michael Krebsbach and Andrew and Peter Winkel; siblings, Mary (Lindy) Nelson, Bob (Linda) Krebsbach, Cate Krebsbach, and Ann (Jon) Olig; previous wives, Cathy Steffen and Linda Krebsbach; and his aunt, uncle, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Private immediate family will gather on Wednesday, Dec. 30, 2020 to honor John's life. The service will be livestreamed via the Huehns Funeral Home, Inc. & Door County Crematory LLC" Facebook page on Wednesday at 11 a.m.
