She was born on May 6, 1943 in Rhinelander, the daughter of Ray and Geraldine (Frost) Phillips. She attended schools in Rhinelander, graduating from Rhinelander High School.
On Dec. 3, 1983 she married Ronald Keto and God blessed them with nearly 35 years of marriage. Ron preceded her in death on May 11, 2017.
Bernice had many interests which included playing scrabble.
She loved to write letters which is a lost art today, and she loved to be with people especially her friends and family.
She was grateful for her many friends that she shared while residing at Rennes.
Bernice always had her Bible at her side. She was active, when able, with her church home at the Grace Foursquare Church.
She loved her church family and she especially enjoyed being involved with the youth of the church. She looked forward to the day when she could join her husband in heaven with her Lord and Savior.
Bernice is survived by her daughter Kendra (Daryl) Kochel, her grandchildren Alisha and Zachary, her sister Virginia Kreft, her brother Mick (Judy) Phillips, her stepdaughter Roxanne Keto, nieces, nephews, other family and many friends.
In addition to her husband, she was also preceded in death by her parents, her sisters Peggy and Molly and her brother Raymond "Punk."
