Edythe attended elementary school at the Zion Lutheran School and then graduated from Rhinelander High School in 1938. She married Harry Sparks on Oct. 19, 1946 at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church in Rhinelander. Harry preceded her in death on Sept. 8, 1988. God blessed them with nearly 42 years of marriage. Edythe had moved to Brookfield to be closer to her family after losing her husband and has lived there since.
Edythe was a longtime member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church in Rhinelander. She was active in the Ladies Aid and many other church activities. She loved her church family.
Edythe is survived by her son Eugene (Susan) Sparks, her granddaughter Stephanie (Joseph) Milazzo, great- granddaughter Lily Milazzo, nieces, nephews, other family and friends. In addition to her husband she was also preceded in death by her sisters Ann, Helene and Martha and her brother William.
Visitation for Edythe will be from 10 to 11 a.m., with funeral services at 11 a.m., Monday, Dec. 21, 2020, at the Carlson Funeral Home. Reverend Karl Schultz will be officiating.
