After moving to Rhinelander, June went to work for the Rhinelander Telephone Company, then St. Mary's Hospital followed by the Friendly Village and finally at Ben Franklin. She was a friend of the Grace Foursquare Church for most of her adult life.
June had many interests which included sewing, pottery and ceramics. She ran a ceramics shop out of her home for a number of years. She was also known as the "Mitten Lady" as she knitted well over 800 pairs of mittens for those in need. She will be remembered as a kind and loving mother, grandmother and friend.
June is survived by her grandchildren Carrie (Mike) Steffel, Bradley Bowman, Jack (Krista) Antonuk Jr. and Stacy (Jon) Bandow, her eight great-grandchildren, her brother Eugene (Marietta) Draeger, her son-in- law Hugh Bowman, nieces, nephews, other family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Adam on July 9, 1991, her son Jack and her daughter Nancy Bowman.
Visitation for June will be held on Monday, Dec. 14, 2020 from 10 to 11 a.m. with funeral services following at 11 a.m., all at the Grace Foursquare Church. Pastor Julie Wilcox will be officiating. Interment will follow in the Newbold Memorial Cemetery. You may leave your private condolences for the family at www.carlsonfh.com.
