He was born in Rhinelander on June 28, 1954 to Dennis J. and Josephine (Pence) Houle.
Dennis attended high school at RHS and graduated in 1973. He then moved to the Waukesha area where he met his future wife, Lynn C. Arndt, at a bowling alley in Waukesha. The couple later moved back to Rhinelander and got married on March 18, 1983. Dennis started a logging business, sold firewood and built log homes. In 2002 he started a used car dealership which he loved to do. He was a great father to his sons and his hound dogs.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, taking family trips, playing pool and talking smart. Dennis enjoyed life to its fullest and was always on the go. There was never a dull moment with Denny.
He is survived by his loving wife, Lynn; sons: Derik (Fran Vanney) and Devin (Amanda Rudis); father, Dennis J. Houle, Rhinelander; sisters, Joan (Luby) Sidoff, Tarpon Springs, Fla., Pam (Mark) Bork, Plover, Janice (Bob) Coy, Scottsdale, Ariz., Lori (Brian) Custer, San Jose, Calif.; brother, Robert Houle, Rhinelander; mother-in-law Marjory Kloth, Pewaukee; sisters-in-law, Pam (Timmy) Graham, Pewaukee, Fay (Kelly) Shaw, Waukesha; brother-in-law, Glenn (Constance) Arndt, Kure Beach, N.C. and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Josephine Houle. He will be greatly missed by his wife, family and many friends.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
