She was a graduate of Elcho High School, class of 1948.
Peg was a bookkeeper at J.C. Penny in Antigo for 10 years and then at Elcho Plumbing and Heating from 1978 until her retirement in 1995. In between, she was a waitress and worked at the grocery store in Elcho.
She was a member of the United Church of Christ, Congregational and the Noetzelman-Boodry American Legion Auxiliary Unit 377, Elcho.
Peg loved to say that few people in Elcho realized that her real name is Anne including the full story of how she became Peg. Her family knows the story by heart.
Peg and Glenn moved to Elcho in 1952. They lived on the same property until 2017. Peg lived at the Friendly Village for the last three years. She enjoyed living there because she got to play Bingo or other games every day. She would proudly brag about her winning streaks.
Peg and Glenn enjoyed Friday night fish fries, often taking all available family members and friends to the Boondocks with them.
