Carol Joy Fawley
Carol lived in Starks and graduated from Rhinelander High School in 1952. She married her high school sweetheart, Roland Fawley, on Nov. 8, 1952.
She loved being a wife, mother, and grandmother. She became a real estate agent and the owner of Fawley's Rainbow Realty. She attended Calvary Baptist Church of Rhinelander.
When health allowed, she was regularly involved with her church's Bible study and prayer groups. She was a lover of wildlife and flowers. Most of all she loved people, often ministering to those who were shut-ins.
Survivors include her four children: Terry Fawley, Rhinelander; Susan (Alex) Lindsay, Tomahawk; Larry (Diane) Fawley, Rhinelander; and Sharon (Tim) Normington, Oshkosh. She also has 12 grandchildren,10 great-grandchildren, two step- great-grandchildren, and one more great-grandson on the way.
She was preceded in death by her ex-husband, Roland Fawley; her daughter-in-law, Paula Fawley; her brothers: Gilbert and Glen Spafford.
She will be missed by her family and friends. We are grateful for the care from the loving residents and amazing staff at Grace Lodge, and the support from Ascension Hospice Services.
