Marian was born Aug. 25, 1924 in Breckenridge, Minn., daughter of James and Hazel Dekker. She attended Rhinelander High School graduating in 1942.
After a short time working in Chicago at the War Office, Marian returned to Rhinelander and worked in the Oneida County Agricultural Office.
She married Richard Timm in June of 1946 in Rhinelander.
Marian enjoyed dancing, gardening. playing cards, (especially bridge), family gatherings, spending time at the Flannery Lake, walking on the beach in Florida and playing mini golf.
She is survived by her children: Lorry (Jerry) Kuczmarski of Rhinelander; Mary (Jeff) Albrecht of Silver Lake; David (Anna) Timm of Plover; Julie (Bob) Jorata of Rhinelander; Robert (Beth) Timm of Stone Mountain, Ga.
She is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild. Also surviving are a sister Donna Dekker of Rhinelander, and sister-in-law Betty Dekker of Rhinelander.
Marian was preceded in death by her parents James W and Hazel Dekker; husband Richard Timm; son Richard Timm, Jr; grandson Matthew Kuczmarski; brothers James H. Dekker; Edward Dekker; and sister Lois (Dekker) Lawonn.
Marian was a loving, reserved, principled, and respectful lady who will be dearly missed.
The Memorial Mass for Marian will be celebrated on Tuesday, Aug. 18, 2020 at 10:30 a.m. at Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Church, located at 125 E. King Street, Rhinelander. Fr. Chris Kemp and Dn. Michael Harvey will officiate. Immediately following the Memorial Mass, there will be a procession to Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Cemetery.
