Royer, Meyers win No Frills Marathon
The first male to cross the marathon finish line was Sean Royer of Milwaukee with a time of 2 hours, 54 minutes, 55.3 seconds.
The top female finisher in the 26.2-mile marathon was Jessie Meyers of Hastings, Minnesota with a time of 3:28:03.5.
In the half marathon, Connor Ahrens of Weston finished in 1:25:46.6. Susan Hahn of Greenfield led the women with a time of 1:34:17.2 seconds.
The Minocqua Marathon is a Boston Marathon Qualifying event. Nine men and four women made the Boston Qualifier Standard for their age group.
Race organizers extend special thanks to all the volunteers including Paul Miller and his OnPace Team, the water station volunteers, the lead bikers and bike sweepers from Pukall Lumber, and the Oneida County/Ascension biking EMTs. Thanks also to the Minocqua Area Chamber of Commerce.
