New neurologist joins Ascension Medical Group in Rhinelander
Dr. Szmanda will be providing neurology services at Ascension Medical Group in Rhinelander, located at 2251 North Shore Drive on the Campus of Ascension St. Mary's Hospital, according to an Ascension press release.
He provides a full spectrum of neurology care with special interest in stroke prevention and treatment.
After earning his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine Degree from Des Moines University - College of Osteopathic Medicine, Des Moines, Dr. Szmanda completed an Internal Medicine and Neurology residency at University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics, Madison.
"My goal is to educate on the importance of making healthy choices in the hopes of the prevention of neurological conditions later in life," said Szmanda.
In his spare time, he enjoys singing and playing guitar as well as trail bike riding, the release states.
