Louise was born on July 24, 1923 in Superior, the daughter of Lloyd and Fern (Armstrong) Britton. She was raised and educated in Superior and graduated from Superior High School in 1941. During her younger years, she was employed in Superior and Wausau in retail sales and began training as a pharmacy technician in Washburn, Wisconsin.
Louise was united in marriage to Veo Swenson on 13 Aug 1949 in Wausau. She was employed as a pharmacy technician in hospitals in Washburn and Rhinelander. Veo died in 1975. She moved to Florida in 1996 and was employed at a pharmaceutical packing company in Clearwater, Fla., until retiring in 1998. She moved to Minot in 2015 to be nearer to her son, Greg, and his family.
Louise was a member of the Lutheran Faith and had enjoyed painting throughout the years.
She is survived by her son, Greg (Karen) Swenson; five grandchildren to include, Nicholes, Mandy, Rachel, Amanda and Joey; three great-grandchildren, Kolton, Pyper Jo, and Cali; sisters, Nancy (Dick) Laws, Arizona; several nieces nephews and cousins.
Louise is preceded in death by her parents, husband of 29 years, Veo; son, Gary; sisters, Patricia Gloria and Frances and a brother, Robert.
Graveside service will take place at Forest Home Cemetery in Rhinelander on Saturday, Oct. 26, 2019 at 10:30 a.m.
A Family Prayer service was held in Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot, N.D.
