Sophia Miljevich led the JWMS girls once again, placing second overall in the race, with a time of 12 minutes, 43.5 seconds over the course of 3.2 kilometers (2 miles). Luciana Grage was seventh overall (13:40.6) and Reese Gehrig finished ninth (13:45.8).
Leah Jamison placed 14th for the Hodags (14:31.8), Eva Hetland was 16th (14:46.0), Kayla Skubal finished 17th (14:53.8) and Lexi Bishop finished 21st (15:04.4) to round out the scorers and displacers. JWMS finished one point behind Crandon for the team title. Prairie River (Merrill), Antigo and Butternut rounded out the top five.
Sixth-grader Jackson Fuss was the top finisher for the JWMS boys' squad, placing 11th with a time of 13:45.2. Iain Rumney was 17th (14:00.8), Bobby Gibbs finished 22nd (14:27.3), Payton McCue was 30th (15:12.5), Zacha King finished 34th (15:24.3), Connor Terzinski was 38th (15:46.7) and Nahzeair Boykin finished 40th (15:58.0).
