Elementary athletics revived at Rhinelander schools
Running Club - September through October
Girls Basketball - November through December
Boys Basketball - January through February
Co-ed Volleyball - March through April
"The sport offerings are for fourth & fifth grade students at each school," according to a district press release. "Student-athletes will receive fundamental skills, playing opportunities, develop teamwork, build school spirit, and have fun. Teams will play other local elementary schools, having both home and away games. Families and friends are invited to attend games. Information is available on the district web page under the calendar section for each school. Players will have a jersey shirt to wear for games."
