The 10th annual Wine Women and Winter (WWW) will be held from 5 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 5 at The Waters in Minocqua.

After holding a very successful 2018 WWW event at The Waters in 2018, the Wine Women and Winter committee and The Waters staff look forward to making the 2019 WWW another memorable one, according to a press release announcing the event.

Tickets are available at SaveMore Marketplace, The Waters, Lakeside Living Design in Manitowish Waters, and from committee members Judy Barry, Sandy Bolger, Mary Hebert, Kathy Justinak, Amy Rayala, Anne Redman, Judy Russell, Lisa Tadych, Kristen Weiss, Pam Winkelman and Tracy Winkelman.

The general admission ticket price remains at $40. Again, this year, single raffle tickets for baskets are $5 each or five tickets for $20, 12 tickets for $40, 20 tickets for $60, 30 tickets for $80, and 40 tickets for $100.

"Wine Women and Winter is the largest fundraiser of the year for the Lakeland Pantry," the release states. "Always sold out, this beautiful holiday gala provides a wonderful venue where community women come together in camaraderie to raise funds to help feed more than 2,600 families served by the pantry. Forty percent of this total is children."

A wide selection of red and white wines will be served including some organic wines. All are personally selected by the committee members working together with John Aiken of SaveMore Marketplace. Wines will be available the night of the event for ordering at special pricing. A selection of specialty and holiday coffees from Little Creek Coffee in Arbor Vitae will be offered by Little Creek Coffee staff at the event, according to owner Cherie Abendroth.

Attendees will enjoy an evening of sampling specially prepared, delicious appetizers. SaveMore Marketplace's Pam Siech, manager of the store's delicatessen/bakery and special order gourmet foods, and her staff will serve a large selection of hot and cold gourmet hors d'oeuvres. Completing the menu will be gourmet desserts baked and served by Wild Berry Market's Cora Rudisill, owner of Eye Candy Cakes.

Holiday and Christmas music will fill the air while attendees enjoy the evening. The local, acclaimed, singing group Trillium will perform as well. Plus, look for the very popular team of "WWW men in black and white," who will be on hand to check coats, sell raffle ticket sales, and serve wine.

The night will also feature the raffling of 70-75 "gift baskets" of merchandise and merchandise certificates donated by over a hundred local merchants, the release states.
