"The YMCA of the Northwoods is a proud partner in community-based afterschool programming with organizations such as Old School Arts and Learning Center," YMCA officials said in a press release. "Community-based afterschool programs (non-school based) help to provide affordable before and afterschool options to our friends and neighbors while reducing the burden on local taxpayers, local schools, and local and state government. The YMCA of the Northwoods thanks Gov. Tony Evers for his proclamation of identifying Oct. 24 as the official Lights on Afterschool day in the state of Wisconsin."
