Donald "Don" E. Ovsak, 45, of the Town of Sugar Camp, passed away peacefully Monday, May 20, 2019 at home surrounded by his loving wife, children, and family. Don was born in Rhinelander on April 8, 1974, the son of James and Sandra (Stefonik) Ovsak. Growing up Don lived in Rhinelander, Woodstock, Ill., Sparta, Monticello, Ind., and Reedsburg. Don attended Reedsburg High School and spent over 8 years working at Grede Foundries while living in the Rock Springs, LaValle and Wonewoc communities.

In 2000, Don moved to the Town of Sugar Camp and began working for Northern Lakes Concrete, where he worked for almost 18 years as a plant manager in the Woodruff and Eagle River locations. In 2001, Don married his best friend, Ann Ovsak (Tomlinson).

Don loved action movies, anything to do with two or more wheels, fire and firearms. Don's hobbies included collecting fast cars, trading out sound systems, listening to a wide variety of music styles and genres, playing pool, camping and blowing things up. He always had a joke, prank or surprise gift planned, and his wild side usually appeared while camping. Don was a hard worker and took great pride in providing for his family. He treasured his children, Isabel and Isaac, and loved spending time together as a family. Don loved God and was a living example of kindness and quiet generosity. Don's smile and sense of humor will be cherished by many forever.

Don will be sorely missed and is survived by his grandparents James (Faythe) Stefonik of Rhinelander, parents James and Sandy Ovsak of Eagle River, brother Jeremy Ovsak of Stevens Point, sister Kelly (Phil) Garncarz of Appleton, wife Ann Ovsak and children Isabel and Isaac Ovsak of Eagle River, in-laws Bill (Lynne) Tomlinson of Wisconsin Rapids, Sarah (Scott) Kniprath of Viroqua, and Martin (June) Fleischhacker of Sunfish Lake, Minn., and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Don was preceded in death by his great-grandmothers Isabel Stefonik and Frances Mikkelson, grandmother Jean Ovsak, brother James Michael Ovsak, and sister-in-law Kelli Fleischhacker.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the family would be appreciated.

Don will forever be remembered as our loving son, brother, husband, father, favorite uncle, nephew, cousin and friend.

The visitation for Don will be held Sunday, May 26, 2019 at Grace Foursquare Church, located at 4360 State Rd. 17 Rhinelander, from 1 p.m. until the 3 p.m. funeral service. Pastor Joseph Fehlen will be officiating. Immediately following the service, there will be a procession to the Sugar Camp Community Cemetery where a committal service will be held. At the conclusion of the cemetery service, everyone is invited back to Grace Foursquare Church for a luncheon and fellowship.

Family and friends are invited to write a letter to Don, these letters will be placed in his casket. A special container marked for letters will be at the church.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Hildebrand Funeral Home & Cremation Specialists, 24 E. Davenport Street, Rhinelander, Wisconsin 54501, 715-365-4343. You are invited to light a candle, sign the guestbook, leave a photo or an online condolence at www.hildebrandrussfh.com
