On Thursday all of the records the team set during the course of the season went up on the record board inside the Heck Family Community Pool.
There was plenty of rearranging to be done on the board. This year, the Hodag swimmers set eight Heck Pool records, five RHS varsity records and four Great Northern Conference records.
"It is a privilege and joy to update the record board after such a monumental season," coach Jenny Heck said. "It is especially rewarding breaking records that were this old. Rhinelander has a strong swimming history. We are thrilled to be able to continue this legacy of fast swimming and excellence in and out of the pool."
The Hodags set the following records this year:

200 Medley Relay - Francis, T.Heck, King, Benoy, 1:42.55

With one exception, all the records share a common thread - senior Nolan Francis, who rejoined the team for his senior season after swimming the club circuit as a junior.
"We were pleased Nolan chose to swim high school. I think the experience was fun and beneficial for him as he enjoyed the camaraderie and the training with the guys," Jenny Heck said. "He was an integral part of making a really good team great. Yet it was also the leadership and dedication of a very talented group of returning swimmers along with motivated new swimmers that was the recipe for success."
During the ceremony, coach Heck thanked RHS activities director Brian Paulson, her assistant coaches, the Rhinelander Swim Club, the team parents and the community for their support and dedication to Rhinelander swimming.
